The Holy Spirit makes heavenly realities manifest through us
God created the heavens and the earth. When God created mankind, He intended for us to have dominion on earth and represent His will from heaven in all things. But mankind rebelled and was separated from God in heaven. Nonetheless, God still guided His chosen people by anointing a select few with the Holy Spirit from heaven to give them heavenly wisdom, power, and instructions. These included kings, judges, prophets, temple craftsmen and musicians in Israel, who did extraordinary feats, visited heaven, and were often assisted by angels. The Holy Spirit is now in all of Jesus’ followers who have repented, been baptised in Jesus’ name, and asked for the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, who helped all these spiritual forefathers, is the same Spirit who will help us manifest heavenly realities on earth today too.
Colossians 1:16-17 NKJV For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
Luke 11:13 NKJV If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
1 Peter 1:12 NKJV To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.
Mankind’s direct access to the heavenly realm before our separation
God created mankind to have dominion on earth (Genesis 1:26-28). Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, could freely roam around God’s garden (Ezekiel 28:13) in heaven and commune with their Creator in person, face to face (Genesis 3:8). In the Garden of Eden, they would receive His wisdom, guidance and instructions on how to dominate on this earth (Genesis 2:15-17). The Garden of Eden was a place in the heavenly realm. But Adam and Eve had an enemy, Satan, who also appeared to them in this realm that deceived them. After they fell for Satan’s lies and rebelled against God, they were banished from the heavenly realm, left to exist in the realm of this earth (Genesis 3:1-24).
God always had a plan to re-connect mankind to Himself in heaven. Even before the world was made, Jesus was already slain for our sins (Revelation 13:8) to reconcile mankind to God. This is very difficult for human beings to understand because we live in a dimension that is measured by time and space. But, there is no such thing as time or space in the heavenly realm. A distance of 500,000km means nothing to God because He is present everywhere all the time. He fills heaven and earth (Jeremiah 23:23-24). One thousand years to us is like one day to the Lord (2 Peter 3:8). God lives in eternity (Isaiah 57:15), He sees everything; past, present and future, all at once. That is just a reality of His supreme pre-eminence.
Revelation 13:8 NKJV. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
Jeremiah 23:23-24 NKJV “Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord, “And not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.
2 Peter 3:8 NKJV But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Isaiah 57:15 NKJV For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Whatever God speaks becomes established forever (Ecclesiastes 3:14). Because God had ordained that mankind was to have dominion over this earth, He could not contradict His own Word and take back dominion by force. This is why He sent His Son to be born in the form of a man. Jesus emptied Himself of His heavenly status (Philippians 2:5-8) so that He could, as a man, take back dominion over the things of this earth for us, by paying the price for mankind’s sins on the cross. By doing so, He established a new covenant that cancelled the curses mankind suffers as a result of sin since the fall in the Garden of Eden, which we enter into through repentance and obeying Christ.
Ecclesiastes 3:14 NKJV I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.
Philippians 2:5-8 NKJV Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
Many aspects of the events surrounding Jesus’ crucifixion, in fact, point back to this:
- Jesus sweat blood in the Garden of Gethsemane | To take on the curse pronounced in the Garden of Eden that mankind would have to sweat for our food (Genesis 3:19)
- Jesus obeyed God even to the point of submitting to crucifixion (Philippians 2:7-8) | To take on the curse of Adam’s and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden
- Jesus was a man of many sorrows (Isaiah 53:3) | To take on the curse of multiplied sorrows on Eve pronounced in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:16)
- Jesus was whipped by the Roman soldiers | To take on the punishment for our sins against one another (Deuteronomy 25:11-3)
- Jesus hung on a ‘tree’ (Galatians 3:13) | To take on the curse of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil
- Jesus had a crown of thorns (Matthew 27:29) | To take on the curse on the ground to produce thorns and thistles (Genesis 3:18)
- Jesus endured the shame of hanging naked on the cross (Hebrews 12:2) | To take on the shame Adam and Eve felt after finding themselves naked in the Garden of Eden when their eyes were opened (Genesis 3:7-10)
- Jesus was separated from God the Father at the cross (Matthew 27:46) | To take on the separation of mankind from their Heavenly Father when they were expelled from the Garden of Eden
- Jesus died and the veil to the Holy of Holies in the temple was ripped open (Matthew 27:51) | To remove the separation between God and mankind (Genesis 3:24)
- Jesus was buried in a tomb and rose again | To take on and reverse the curse that mankind was to return to the ground and just become dust (Genesis 3:19). Our spirits can now rise after we die to be with God in heaven.
We have regained access to the heavenly realm
Jesus redeemed us from the curses of our sins so that we can receive the promise of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:13-14) as we repent of our sins and are baptised in Jesus’ name (Acts 2:38-39). Jesus Himself insisted on being baptised. It was when He was baptised that the “heavens were opened to Him” and the Holy Spirit descended and anointed Him (Matthew 3:16). Later, we see the Holy Spirit poured out on the disciples on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). This began with a “sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind.” Jesus received the Holy Spirit from heaven, and so do we.
Galatians 3:13-14 NKJV Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Acts 2:38-39 NKJV Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
Matthew 3:16 NKJV When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
Acts 2:1-4 NKJV When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
This is a crucial aspect of the gospel to grasp, because it is through the Holy Spirit that we get reconnected to heaven. We regain direct access to the heavenly realm as we are reconciled back to God the Father (Colossians 1:19-22).
Colossians 1:19-22 NKJV For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—
We are to move from being people of the earth to people of heaven (1 Corinthians 15:47-49). Let us have a brief look at the contrast between the two. The first man of creation ie. Adam was created from the dust of this earth. Adam lost connection to heaven and his original dominion on this earth when he sinned against God and subjected himself to the devil’s lies. This is when mankind reaped the first curses, because the devil is cursed. The second archetype of man ie. Jesus is from heaven. Jesus destroyed the devil’s dominion by paying the pride of our sins (1 John 3:8) and giving us the Holy Spirit from heaven. Jesus reconnected us with the highest heaven. The Holy Spirit who now dwells in us is far greater than any other spirit in this world (1 John 4:4). His job is to renew and regenerate us into the image of Jesus (Titus 3:4-7) and give us every spiritual blessing from heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3-4). Thereafter, we begin to “bear the image of the heavenly Man.”
1 Corinthians 15:47-49 NKJV The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.
1 John 3:8 NKJV He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Titus 3:4-7 NKJV But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This is how we become new creations, as we are conformed more and more into the image of the Heavenly Man, Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit. When the Bible explains that “all things have become new” for us as God’s new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17). These new things come directly from heaven because there is nothing new under its sun on this earth (̌Ecclesiastes 1:9).
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 NKJV That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will be done, And there is nothing new under the sun.
The Holy Spirit causes living waters from heaven to flow out of our hearts
Jesus explained that “rivers of living water” will begin to flow out of our hearts after we receive the Holy Spirit (John 7:38-39). These living waters proceed directly from God’s throne in heaven (Revelation 22:1)!
John 7:38-39 NKJV He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Revelation 22:1 NKJV And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Jesus also took back all authority on earth for mankind (Matthew 28:18) by defeating the enemy as a man. Therefore, Jesus is the firstborn of a new creation of people who once again walk in spiritual dominion on this earth (Romans 8:29). He has promised that we will do the very same things He has done, and even greater (John 14:10-14). In other words, mankind can once again walk in spiritual dominion on this earth, as we are transformed into the glorious image of Jesus, the heavenly Man, by the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us.
Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Romans 8:29 NKJV For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
2 Corinthians 3:18 NKJV But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The Spirit of God is loving, gentle, merciful, all knowing and powerful in signs and wonders and these are the qualities that He will form in us – if we are willing to obey Him.
Romans 15:18-19 NKJV For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient—in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
We are to manifest heavenly realities on earth now
Jesus explained that “the Father who dwells in Me does the works”. It is the Spirit of God who dwells in us now who does wondrous things through us. It does not depend on our abilities or our worth. All it takes is faith in and our personal knowledge of God. All things are possible for those who believe. Jesus has promised, “Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” God wants to fill the earth with His glory once again.
John 14:10-14 NKJV Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
Mark 9:23 NKJV Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Psalms 72:18-19 NKJV Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, Who only does wondrous things! And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.
This is also why Jesus taught His disciples to say that “the kingdom of heaven is at hand” as they went around healing the sick, casting out demons, and raising the dead. As citizens of the highest heaven, we are to bring heavenly realities to this earth – there is no pain or sickness in the highest heaven, nor will you find Satan and his fallen angels. There is love, joy and peace in heaven, the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). We do not wait til we die to live out these realities, we are to manifest heaven’s realities on this earth right here and right now.
Matthew 10:7-8 NKJV And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Philippians 3:20-21 NKJV For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.
Revelation 12:7-9 NKJV And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Renewing our mindsets from earthly to heavenly
Through the Holy Spirit, we now have access to heavenly realities such as supernatural peace, joy, healing, health, prosperity, divine well being and confidence and so on. In Ephesians 1, the apostle Paul says that our Heavenly Father has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. This is not in the distant future, it is in the present.
Philippians 4:7 NKJV and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 1:3-4 NKJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, ust as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
But we do need to access this grace through faith. Not everyone lives out their heavenly realities because we have been too programmed to look at things purely from an earthly perspective. We don’t have faith to see the things of heaven in the spirit because we have already shut it out of our consciousness. This is why we need to be reminded to “set our minds on things above, not on things on the earth. For we have died, and our lives are hidden with Christ in God.”
Ephesians 3:11-12 NKJV according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.
Romans 5:1-2 NKJV Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Colossians 3:2-3 NKJV Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Neither do we access heaven through our minds. We gain entry into heavenly realities spiritually through the Holy Spirit because it is a dimension in the spirit.
Accessing heavenly realities also requires that we abandon our longings for the things of this world and live purely for God through the Holy Spirit, because heaven does not welcome double-mindedness nor does it accept dual citizenship. As citizens of heaven, we are merely passing travellers in this world. We are no longer of this world. Our true home is in heaven.
Matthew 6:33 NKJV But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
James 1:6-8 NKJV But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
John 17:16 NKJV They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
2 Corinthians 5:1 NKJV For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
To belong to the kingdom of heaven on earth, we need to remember to:
- Be humble and recognise our need for God in all situations | Matthew 5:3 NKJV “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- Become innocent and childlike, with no preconceived ideas, be teachable and open to correction and discipline from our Heavenly Father | Matthew 18:3-4 NKJV and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
- Be willing to always obey and do the Father’s will, over and above our own logical mindsets and earthly desires | Matthew 7:21 NKJV “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
We also need to stay away from religious people and teachings. Those who reject the Kingdom of heaven will stop people from entering it too. Often, these are people who claim to preach the gospel but will ignore the Holy Spirit and/or deny His supernatural works. They will claim that all spiritual gifts have ceased, there are no more apostles or prophets, there are no miracles, that signs or wonders are all fake and so on. Because their own unbelief has blocked them from experiencing any of these, they have determined that neither can you. Jesus has a sharp rebuke for such people.
Matthew 23:13 NKJV “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.

The fruit of a heavenly mindset
Each one of us has a heavenly calling in God’s kingdom. The truth is, whatever happens on earth affects heaven and whatever happens in heaven affects earth. When we have the spiritual eyes to see, we will see that we are always interconnected with heaven.
Hebrews 3:1-2 NKJV Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house.
We will need to renew our minds to see that it is heaven’s agenda that comes first, not man’s. The things of this earth are not more powerful than the things of heaven. It is the things that are unseen and eternal that have the final say in everything that happens to us on earth.
Proverbs 16:9 NKJV A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.
2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Through the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us to desire that God’s heavenly kingdom come to earth and that His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. The kingdom of heaven is nothing like what we have on earth, and we need to be very open-minded as to what the Lord will do through us as His heavenly ambassadors on earth (2 Corinthians 5:20, Ephesians 6:20).
Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
As we begin to live a citizens of heaven, we will display:
- Unwavering confidence | We live with great confidence because we know our heritage and identity is not an earthly one | Romans 8:37-39 NKJV Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Unshakeable hope | We have a powerful hope that comes from heaven | Colossians 1:4-6 NKJV since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints; because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel, which has come to you, as it has also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it is also among you since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;
- Supernatural peace | We will have peace that is not of this world | John 14:27 NKJV Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
- Spiritual authority | We will cast out demons, heal the sick, raise the dead, and so on | Matthew 10:7-8 NKJV And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
- Victory over sin | We will no longer walk in the fallen depraved ways of this world | Ephesians 2:2-6 NKJV in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
- Great generosity | We will live generously on earth, because our true treasures are in heaven | Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- Political composure | We will not be overwhelmed by natural disasters or political upheavals on earth because our country is heavenly | Hebrews 11:16 NKJV But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
- Heavenly encounters | We can also expect to have heavenly visions and angelic encounters | Hebrews 12:21 NKJV But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,
The Bible comes alive and our focus changes
Perhaps one of the most important changes when it comes to renewing our minds to have a heavenly mindset is that the Bible comes alive. All scripture is inspired by God in heaven. He writes it from His perspective and when we enter into His heavenly perspective, we will have a deeper understanding of God our Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and our part in eternity.
In this way, our lives will no longer be tethered to the temporary things of earth that we cannot hold on to forever anyway, but to things that have true lasting significance. We begin to focus on the things that have eternal value, such as God’s Word, faith, hope, love and people’s souls.
2 Timothy 3:16 NKJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
Matthew 24:35 NKJV Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
A prayer to repent
If we realise that we have had unbelief towards heaven, eternity, and heavenly realities, here is an opportunity to repent. We all need to renew our minds about our heavenly identity in Christ and be transformed into the image of the Heavenly Man, Jesus.
We can ask God to forgive us for our pride snd ignorance and open our hearts to the Holy Spirit to show us all His heavenly realities. Renounce anything we may have said in disbelief about heavenly realities, and repent for quenching the Holy Spirit or rejecting His works. Cut off all ungodly soul ties to religious people and religious organisations in Jesus’ name. Then invite the Holy Spirit to show us how to walk out our heavenly citizenship on earth so that we may bring our Heavenly Father all the glory He deserves.
1 Chronicles 29:11 NKJV Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.
May heaven open up to you and you begin to receive every spiritual blessing from heavenly places.
Testimony
“Two years ago, the Holy Spirit spoke to my spirit and admonished me. He told me that my unbelief is not in God Himself but in heavenly things. He said that if I want to know Him, I must also know about heavenly things because this is where He dwells and where the saints will also rule from one day.
Revelation 5:9-10 NKJV And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”
Daniel 7:27 NKJV Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’
1 Corinthians 6:2-3 NKJV Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
This really convicted me because I realised what the Lord had told me is true. I had rejected testimonies of people seeing angels and visions of heaven because it hadn’t happened to me or people I know personally. So, I repented to God and told Him that I would open my heart to all that He wanted to show me. I also started to study the Bible to see what it says about angels. I was surprised to see that angels are mentioned throughout the Bible. Somehow, because of my unbelief, these accounts did not register in my heart in the past, even though I have studied the Bible many times!
One day, I attended a revival event and the speaker said that he saw numerous angels arriving to bring revelation from heaven. Then, I suddenly saw a 12-foot brightly-glowing angel with a large sword strapped to his back come stand next to me. His presence was so overpowering that I had to take a step back. The Holy Spirit said that this was the angel who had protected me from life-and-death situations in the past. I was in awe at this sight and was very comforted to see the angel the Lord had assigned to protect me throughout my life. I had never seen him in the past because my heart had not been open to heavenly things.
After this encounter, I will no longer doubt others’ testimonies about heaven and angels!”
May this sharing be a blessing to you as you seek to love the Lord with all your heart and live out His heavenly realities for you.
