Lesson 14 | Inner vow barriers

Course
Summary of key points
  1. Inner vows are the pledges we make ourselves to live by certain life principles.
  2. They are led by our flesh.
  3. They become our own life commandments and cause us to be self-reliant and to resist God.
  4. Inner vows lead us to judge others as well.
  5. They ultimately become a curse because we become enslaved to our anxieties.
  6. God is the only Law giver and we should follow His commandments alone. God’s Law makes us wise and gives us joy.
  7. We need to replace our inner vows with biblical truth, with God as our Protector, Provider, and Counsellor, not ourselves.
