Summary of key points
- God has a predetermined purpose for everyone. We are the most satisfied and liberated when we fulfil that purpose.
- Seeking God’s will to fulfil our purpose is something we need to do every day and not just leave to critical events or decisions, because we can be sidetracked.
- God personally helps us to fulfil His purpose.
- God’s will is that we live holy lives and not be deceived by worldly desires.
- We cannot presume to know God’s will without seeking the Holy Spirit, because our sinful nature will choose only what is the most logical, most desirable, or the most comfortable; which may not be God’s will for us. For example, we need to suffer for doing good at times.
