Church staff
If you have ever been discouraged in your Christian walk, consider how our church staff and volunteers must sometimes struggle too. What an impact it would have on hundreds, if not thousands of people, in their ministries. Let’s not neglect to pray for our pastors, elders, deacons, bible study leaders, speakers, church volunteers and church staff.

Ephesians 6:18-20 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
A prayer for all those who serve in churches
“Dear Heavenly Father,
I praise You for (insert name), that Your mighty great hand continues to cover and lead (insert name) and their family in their walk with You.
We pray that the Holy Spirit refreshes them daily and keeps them from distractions of this world. May they experience Your peace beyond understanding and love each other with the love and joy that flows from Your throne in heaven.
Revelation 22:1 ESV Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
May they also live life with Your joy, knowing that Your burden is light and Your yoke easy.
Matthew 11:29-30 ESV Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Show them how to serve You with open hands as You steer the course and bring them on a wonderful journey with You.
Give them wisdom and grace to overcome any barrier, and be the face of Jesus Christ to all those around them. Help them overcome discouragement, interpersonal challenges, fatigue, insecurity, temptation, the tyranny of a busy schedule, spiritual pride – anything that may rob them of the joy of serving You, Almighty Father.
Call them back to You alone, to always be centred on You alone. Protect their time alone with You. Pour Your love on them, so that that love overflows to others.
Psalm 36:10 NLT Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts.
We thank You for (insert name) and for providing the opportunity for them to be Your conduit of Your powerful love, redemption and freedom.
In Jesus name we pray, amen!”
