Cleansing home
We may never know the full history of a house, flat, field or hotel room. Fortunately, that doesn’t matter when we have God by our side and we can cleanse our homes in the name of Jesus Christ! Here is a cleansing prayer over a property that we own or lease.

Leviticus 18:24-25 ESV “Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, for by all these the nations I am driving out before you have become unclean, and the land became unclean, so that I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out its inhabitants.
Cleansing prayer over a property
“Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You and repent of ……… (ask for forgiveness over anything that comes to mind)
I also repent of all past witchcraft (eg. fortune telling, horoscope reading) and idol worship, and cut off all unintentional allegiances with the enemy through my actions or the actions of my family. If there is anything else that is unclean in this place, please reveal it to me, because I choose to worship You and You alone.
I declare that my saviour Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the enemy and I pray through His authority.
1 John 3:8 ESV Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.
I stand in my position as a son / daughter of the God most high, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob – and I put on my armour of God. (You can read Ephesians 6:14-17 in the first person eg. I put on my helmet of salvation …)
I declare I have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, because I belong to God.
2 Timothy 1:7 ESV for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the One who will judge all things on earth, the One who defeated death and holds the key to Hades and heaven, I command all unclean spirits to leave this place at once and submit yourselves to Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, I command you to stay out of this place and not return.
Matthew 28:18 ESV And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
I renounce any activities in the past that have left any spiritually unclean stain or curse that have been placed on this place and wash it with the blood of the lamb. And I anoint all my doors and windows with fragrant oil as a symbol that the blood of the lamb hems this place and all its inhabitants in and protects us.
Heavenly Father, thank you that Your angels fight for all Your children in the spiritual realm – I believe this by faith and not by sight.
Psalm 34:7 ESV The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Holy Spirit, I welcome You to fill me and cleanse this place.
I dedicate this place, all its furnishings, fixtures, electrical appliances and structures etc. to the glory of my Father in heaven. Heavenly Father, please bless the rest, sleep and dreams of all who live here. Jesus, thank you that we can walk in Your victory every day and experience Your love, joy and peace always.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen!”
