Revelation 5:13 ESV And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
A prayer to worship Jesus Christ at Easter
“Dear Heavenly Father,
I thank You for what Jesus has done for me on the cross. I humbly come before You in the merit, holiness and righteousness of my Lord, Saviour and friend, Jesus Christ.
John 15:15 ESV No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.
Thank you that my Saviour paid the highest price to buy me my freedom and exchanged my sins for adoption into God’s kingdom as His co-heir.
Romans 8:16-17 ESV The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
Thank you that You consider me worthy of such a sacrifice, purely because You’re a good God, not because of my merit, because I have none at all!
Romans 5:8 ESV but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Thank you that You forgive me for those times I forget Jesus’s sacrifice, and live as if I’m still in bondage to my old self. Thank you Lord Jesus, that You experienced all temptations I experience and yet never sinned. Thank you, Jesus, for defeating all temptations that Satan was able to bring against You. I claim Your victory over Satan as my victory today, as I choose to die to my own fleshly desires and limited thinking.
Hebrews 4:15 ESV For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Thank you, Jesus, that the new life and power of the Holy Spirit lives in me today because of Your resurrection.
Romans 8:11 ESV If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
I invite the Holy Spirit to bring the fullness of all of His person and my Lord’s work into all areas of my being. I ask the Holy Spirit to please fill my mind, my will, and my emotions with His control. May I live a life that is pleasing to You and one that honours God’s sacrifice on the cross for me.
Colossians 1:9-10 ESV … we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Heavenly Father, please lead me into a deeper understanding of the power of the resurrection and the authority given to me for everyday victory by my Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:18-20 ESV And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
from in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”
