Lesson 1 | Our renewal

Summary of key points

1. Renewal is not simply about behaviour modification. 
2. God doesn’t want to just upgrade our internal operating system, He wants to replace it.
3. Our hearts are deceitful, we cannot trust our hearts with all its self-made values, beliefs, desires, emotions.
4. God calls us to first  die to ourselves, there are powerful benefits to dying.
5. God is good to His children and gives us Himself, the Holy Spirit, to help us in our renewal.
6. We need faith to obey the Holy Spirit, because what He wants for us is opposite to our sinful nature.
7. God is faithful and will complete the work that He begins in us.
