  1. There is a reason for our suffering even though we cannot see it at the time. God’s Word says that He refines us in the furnace of suffering and prunes off unfruitful branches from our lives.
  2. We can reap good fruit from suffering (with six examples).
  3. The Bible teaches us how to overcome pain and suffering and bear good fruit (with ten examples).
  4. Overcoming evil with good shows who are truly children of God. We become examples of Jesus’ love and the Good News He brings when we conquer evil and suffering. 
  5. The Bible tells us to rejoice and be very glad when we are persecuted and suffer for the sake of Jesus’ name because there will be rewards in heaven.

  5. Try to make lists of a) non-negotiable areas and
b) ungodly influences you will avoid from now on.
